How to manage upload limit

Hi,
I need to create directories/folders for my friends to upload their images. Can I have an upload limit for each folder/directory so that they dont eatup all my available space ?

Re: How to manage upload limit

IMHO, it is not possible. If it was it would be a heavy process.

Ok can u tell me if there is a way in phpgraphy to delete the original images so that only thumbnails and lowres images remain on the server. Rest I will manage by limiting the number of total images uploaded.

Re: How to manage upload limit

What are you speaking about? phpgraphy???

With PhpWebGallery:
HTML upload (High Resolution are excluded by upload limit), and no dialog exist to upload them.
So High res are never uploaded on your server.

FTP upload, ... delete them by FTP and resynchronize.

"Why delete is not a standard option in PhpWebGallery?"
We don't want to justify why your pictures had been removed.
A such responsiblity would stay under your control. So Delete is out of our scope or objectives.

Maybe someone will publish in next release a plugin for that...
Till then FTP / Delete / Synchronize.

Is it realistic? Is that clarify that point to you?

Sorry for the mistake. I meant PHPWebGallery. Actually I was testing both.

Thanks for the clarifications. But I guess I need some more control over how my Gallery works. So my hunt is still on ...... :-)
