[extension by xbgmsharp] piwigo-videojs has its last release published 5 years ago BUT it has received many updates on Github https://github.com/Piwigo/piwigo-videojs : you have to install this specific plugin with a specific procedure and hopefully you will get PHP 8.3 compatibility.

Thank you. I don't get the warning anymore, but it doesn't work anyway :D... I should also see the file's extension in the upload form but there are only those for images.

You need to allow upload in your local config using the Local Files Editor:
$conf['upload_form_all_types'] = true;

Ah, nice I didn't know that! Where is it written?
Thank you very much

As they said: "using the Local Files Editor".
Where LocalFiles Editor is a plugin that is default installed. Go to Admin -> Plugins, locate LocalFiles Editor, click Settings, tab Local config. Copy-paste the mentioned statement between the <?php and ?> lines, click the "Save file" button at the bottom. It generates|edits the local/config/config.inc.php file.

Yes, I know about the local file editor thanks. My question was "where in the doc of the plugin is written to insert that code in the config file", 'cause on the Github page I can't find it...

Damn, I clicked on the wiki link in the middle of the README, and its anchor brings exactly AFTER the chapter when it explains how to set the code :P Sorry I didn't pay enough attention. Tnx

Actually, it's my mistake. xbgmsharp has given the Piwigo Organization (on Github) the ownership of the repository and we can say it's our job to push new releases. We will do it soon.

Thank you - I just upgraded to Piwigo 14, and was going to look into issues with Vidoe-JS - thank you for posting this, I'll wait to make sure I have the most current version installed.

While I know you have lots to do, I hope that might lead to some much needed updates.

I added instructions here: [Github] piwigo-videojs issue #217
on how to fix this plugin to run with latest Piwigo (14) on Debian 12 (using PHP 8.3) Works great for me now.

I dont know if this would work on my webhosts CloudLinux, but since it is only the video.js files I will give it a shot...
