tagging by year
Automatic tagging by year and creation of automatic catalogs with the name of the year. Is it possible? A feature like this would be great.

AFAIK there's no such thing to generate tags from creation dates. But with [extension by mistic100] SmartAlbums you can create albums based on filter criteria, for example with "Created after" 2021-12-31 and "Created before" 2023-01-01 and "Photos must match all filters" an album that displays photos of 2022.

I tested this plugin, but it doesn't work properly or has a strange configuration :-(

I would like the plugin to scan exif data and sort photos based on it
