Hi there,
I'm new with Piwigo, I've just installed it.
I'm looking for an alternative to the default photo manager on Synology (Synology Photos).
My collection has several directories with spaces.
I understand spaces in folder name are a problem, but at the moment, until I'm sure Piwigo has all the features I'm looking for, I cannot shake my existing, working collection.
So I have added the space to the config:
$conf['sync_chars_regex'] = '/^[a-zA-Z0-9-_. ]+$/';
At the very first syncronization it imported everything (directories and files) as albums, so I can see no images, but only paths to subfolders. Thurthermore all the photos are considered top level albums.
Do you have any clue to me to find a solution?
Since this is the first use is not a problem to reset the db.
Thank you for any help.

Thanks for your reply.
It doesn't work.
In the album list I see all the photos (as if they were albums)

Hi again,
I've reinstalled Piwigo. This time, I have kept the list of allowed characters to the default.
And yet all the images (jpg files) are seen as folders.

Never heard of such thing occurring. That would likely mean that for some reason the PHP function is_dir() used in admin/include/functions.php function get_fs_directories() (in turn used by admin/site_reader_local.php function get_full_directories() by admin/site_update.php) returns true for each directory entry of your file system (which btw?), even for files, which would be very odd.. would your Synology mount do such thing?
