Greetings,
Thank you for an awesome tool! I've just starting using Piwigo and it looks incredible! I'm using the default Elegant theme.
One question: Is there a way to reduce the visual space that an album or subalbum thumbnail plus description occupies on screen? I would like to be able to reduce the width by 50% so that they can tile 4 across.
Taking it a bit further, would it then be possible to reduce the width to 25% to allow 8 across? I would most likely not have any description at all on the albums themselves, so the 25% size would only have the Album thumbnail, Album name and the number of photos.
My intent would be for the subalbums to look almost the same as the photo thumbnails, maybe appearing slightly larger with the gray background around them, as if they were stacks of photos.
Thanks!

Hello and welcome
follow the guide to customize the CSS of your theme

Thanks you for your quick and informative response. I'm a novice to CSS, but I was able to make the minor change for the 4 subalbum tiles across with the links you've provided. The change was simply adding this:
.thumbnailCategories LI {
width: 25%;
}
The 8 across looks like it will be a bit trickier for me, since the description element will need to be put underneath the illustration element and I'm pretty fuzzy on DIV tags in general, but so far, so good.
Thanks again,

hello
you should check my templates [extension by flop25] flop_style

Wow, definitely an easier approach to use flop_style and it's very easily modified as well.
Thanks!

Flop_style did this very nicely for me. Which led to my next question-- how to increase the number of albums per page? Easy! (from searching the forums):
"You can modify the number of albums per page on screen [Administration > Configuration > Options > Display]"
Awesome!
