Hi
I am mostly a designer who knows front end HTML a bit of Javascript, css etc, but I am jumping into PHP (well I am looking to learn how to use the code at the moment), excuse my ignorance.
I am with a good hosting company.
They say it's running PHP 5 an is able to use SQL database etc, I can also alter folder permissions if needed (CHMOD)
I have uploaded all the files as directed via ftp and got to the
www.mywebsite.com/gallery/install.php page, I'm not sure what to put in the boxes, especially the 2 database ones.

Can anyone help me from here

Hello,

You have to fill in the fields like that :
MySQL host : localhost
User : Your mysql database user (either your hosting company give it, or you can create one)
Password : The password for this user (same remark as above)
Database name : The name of the database on which you want to install the gallery. Same remark as above, on some hosting companies you have only one database, while on other hosting companies you can create your own databases.
Database table prefix : You can leave it as default.
