Piwigo 14.0.0.beta2

Hello Beta-Testers :-)

Second beta-testing release for Piwigo 14.

A) Changes

https://ressources.piwigo.com/i?/uploads/c/v/7/cv7jpz6hf8//2023/08/03/20230803151719-ed30f121-la.png
2 new filters in the new search user interface : date added (last 7 days, last 30 days, last 6 months or last year) + filetype. You can also see the new "empty filter" action. Removing the filter is now done inside the widget.

Other changes in the new search:

* the "quicksearch" in the top menu will redirect to this new search
* removal of the "?" icon in top right corner, which had become useless thanks to explicit filters
* improved the search on album title/description from "search by word" filter

B) Improvements

* compatibility with PHP 8.2 : upgrade to PHPMailer 6.8.0, manual fix for cssmin.class.php
* API : ability to increase visit/download counters

C) Start to beta test

Download Piwigo 14.0.0beta2

If you want to test but don't have the ability to install it, contact us.

Please, open a new topic in the beta testing forum for each problem you may encounter.

Happy beta-testing :D

Re: Piwigo 14.0.0.beta2

the file permissions are set to 664 instead of 644. This breaks the gallery for me.

Is that any different from previous beta version ? (I had to build this one another way)

Re: Piwigo 14.0.0.beta2

How even does more permissions 664 (g+w) than earlier 644 break things?

some kind of security rules might block reading/executing files with "too much" permissions.

Re: Piwigo 14.0.0.beta2

the files in B1 were 644, and it worked fine.
Pierrick is correct. Some shared server software likes the permissions to be a certain way. It has to do with security.
