I am trying to figure out what is the best practice for uploading photos using FTP. I saw some old threads about this topic, but they are really old.

1. What is the best location in the file system for uploading photos?
Asking because I read that galleries is not the correct location.

2. How to upload via FTP so that the photos go into an album which is a subfolder in an existing album.
(I know I need to sync after FTP)

I already have this:

2022
|-album 1
|-album 2
2023
|-album1


I would like to upload photos via FTP, so that they end up in album2

|-album1
|-album2


3. How to upload to a new album in a private top level album?
Private meaning it is not visible to public (needs logon)
