Re: Plugin User Tags

We're going to update all servers to Debian 12 soon (with PHP 8.2) but for now we still have some PHP 7.3 and even PHP 7.0. And that's not such a problem.

A few months ago, Debian stable was still on PHP 7.3, which was no longer supported by PHP. Would you say it made all Debian servers outdated? Certainly not I hope.

Re: Plugin User Tags

Hello, long time Piwigo and Tags user here. I found a weird bug with User Tags and it might be a problem on my side, I'm not sure. It looks like this:

When I have a picture with one tag and I want to delete existing tag and add a new one, it will not save after clicking on "Save".
To go around this, I have to first remove existing tag, save (the save prompt with green background appears), then I can add new tag and save again (and the prompt appears as expected).

It's quite annoying because it's easy to forget about removing tags and saving first. There's no way to copy tags text so when I'm putting like 10 tags and it turns out it cannot be saved, it's a bummer ;)

Re: Plugin User Tags

That's weird, I'm getting new problems.

I'm trying to add a new tag by typing in in the picture window. Usually after typing a word, a list of tags with this word appears and there's also an option to add this word to tags list if it's not yet there.

Today I'm trying this and "add new tag" does not appear.

I remember that there's an option in plugin setting to allow only certain users to add tags. I have a webmaster level of permissions and went to plugin setting to check if webmasters can add new tags.

Webmaster can add tags and "only add existing tags" is set to "false". When I try to change something and save, I'm getting this error:

Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: count(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, string given in /home/[MY_HOST_FOLDERS]/include/functions_html.inc.php:693 Stack trace: #0 /home/[MY_HOST_FOLDERS]/admin.php(361): flush_page_messages() #1 {main} thrown in /home/[MY_HOST_FOLDERS]/include/functions_html.inc.php on line 693

Do you know how I can fix that?

Re: Plugin User Tags

I noticed that you've made 1.0.3 already :) It fixes the error message but the problem with being unable to add new tags from the list, sadly :( I am a webmaster with all permissions set in the plugin settings.

I do not understand. I can add tags.

Re: Plugin User Tags

I was lucky with this update :)

When you go to a picture page and in "Tags" click on the pencil (edit) icon, you can start typing the tags. It always worked in a way that when I type "roa" I can see "railROAd" and "ROAd" tags but there was also option "roa (new)". This option of adding new tag is gone.

I went to plugin settings and I see that webmasters (me) can add tags and "only add existing tags" is set to "false" so it should work...

I noticed that when I change "only add existing tags" flag and submit this change, I'm not getting any confirmation message on a green background. Maybe this flag is not saving?
