Deleting/Re-Installing - Apache Owns Thumbnails

Hey ok so I had to delete the Piwigo installation and im going to re-install it to a new directory. But im running into a problem. The thumbnail files that are created by Piwigo are owned by "Apache" when I look at it through my "FileMan" program. So I am unable to delete them, so therefore I'm unable to delete the main directory, so i can re-install. So I cannot change the chmod or anything on these files. Does anybody know what I can do about this?

Thanks in advance, im looking forward to installing the new release!!

OK well, I solved the problem I got my host to delete the files. So for the future, how do I make it so the thumbnails created are not owned by apache?

If Piwigo creates the thumbnails (or any file), then files will be owned by the webserver process.

I supposed you encountered the same problem with _data directory content.

This is the job of your hosting provider to make sure files created by the web application can be removed/modified by the FTP user.
